Dr. Casper Voyles is an assistant professor of public health teaching in the public health and social justice and social change programs at Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. His research, educational, and professional roles have been centered in the areas of LGBTQ+ health and social inclusion, providing support for inclusion in work and play spaces.

His recent projects have focused on the factors that influence LGBTQ+ participation in sports, LGBTQ+ cultural awareness in the US fire and rescue service, and how international Pride events affect health.

Voyles grew up in the suburbs of the Twin Cities but has spent almost 20 years living on the east coast, where he traded his ice skates for roller skates. He is delighted to return to Minnesota, where he plans to get back into ice hockey, powerlifting, and all the best coffee hops in the Cities.

He was previously a Global Alliance for Training in Health Equity Research (GATHER) postdoctoral trainee through the Drexel University Urban Health Collaborative, where he contributed to the development of the FIRST Center's DEI FIRE Toolkit and other aspects of our diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) research portfolio. He received a PhD in Community Health and Prevention, as well as a Master of Public Health in Community Health and Prevention, from the Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health.
